Career High School Morning Announcements 03/06/26
Today is New Haven's 6th SEL day. SEL stands for Social Emotional Learning. We are celebrating this year with a theme of "Building a Better Community." If you signed up for a workshop, please review the list posted on Google Classroom for your Class. All teachers have access to this list as well. There is a TAB on the document for each class period, which shows the workshop sessions, locations, and times. If you are not on the list, you are expected to remain in your class and participate in the SEL events held by your teacher. Friday is a regular B day. Teachers and staff hosting workshops will take attendance once you go to your designated location so that your classroom teacher can mark you PRESENT. Enjoy the day of wellness. Please take care of yourselves and each other as we build a better community!
Attention seniors and juniors, there will be a Career Fair here at school on Tuesday, March 10th, from nine to eleven. You will be called down in groups during the day to attend the fair and engage with various organizations. Come ready to learn!
Support the junior class by getting your face painted or henna done in the auditorium during SEL day tomorrow for only $3! We are also looking for a few volunteers to do the henna and face painting. If interested please see a Junior class officer, Mr. Arevalo, or Ms. Murphy.
The March Library Contest is “Clover Patch Reviews.” Fill out a green clover entry form available in the library and tell us the title of a book you would recommend and why. Entry forms are due by Tuesday March 24th and the winner will receive a box of Lucky Charms.
Attention Sophomores! While you may not be thinking about Prom and Senior year yet, your Student Government representatives have! Time to be determined. Please select ONE choice on the Google Form posted by Ms. McCarthy in Google Classroom.
